Lockdown Hair Ideas Part1

Hi everyone 🙂

I hope you not all going to crazy during this lockdown and are using it as time to refocus and rethink like I have 🙂

This video and my next video are literally two little videos to show you how you can use lots of different hair pieces in your hair to help hide your roots. Yes the bigger the hair piece the better as it will cover more of your head and hide more of those roots.

The styles are by no means neat or perfect as ive done them as quickly as possible with my hands through a ring light. Its just to give you an idea and some inspiration. over the next few days/weeks I will try to upload some full step by step tutorials for you.

So search that house and see what you have lying around that you can use to style your hair I actually used Sophia’s stuff (my 5month old baby girl) as I could not find anything of my own but be creative think outside the box!

If any of you come up with something super creative pop a comment and picture below and share with the rest of us

Don’t forget I am also avaible for video calls and messages for anyone that needs any extra support to help with their hair during lockdown .

Stay safe and speak to you all again tomorrow.

Iced Coffee Eye Spa ☕❄👀

Ice + Coffee = De-puffed and refreshed eyes.

This is a good tip for the morning if you suffer with puffiness around your eyes.

Ice cools and reduces puffiness.

Caffeine is used in many eye creams as it helps to reduce puffiness and dark circles.

Make some ice cubes using coffee and water.

Take an ice cube and cover it with a thin cloth (like gauze or a handkerchief)

Gently rub it around your eyes. Use small circular motions and strokes going from the inner eye to the outer eye.

Use very light pressure. You want it to glide across your skin, not pull.

Do this for 1-2 minutes per eye.

Apply eye cream.

How do your eyes feel?

🍋 Booty Booster Scrub 🍋

This is a zingy citrus scrub for legs and booty!

Mix together to form a paste:
• The juice and zest from 1 lemon

• 1/4 cup – 1/2 cup sugar

• 2 tablespoons of coconut oil

Before you get into the shower, apply the mixture to your skin and massage with both hands, in circular motions for 1-3 minutes.
Use both hands to vigorously massage it into your skin.

Get into the shower and wash it off.
Note: Be careful as the coconut oil makes the shower floor slippery.

🍋 Lemon is uplifting and refreshing. Your skin will feel silky smooth and soft after this.

P.S This can be used all over the body, avoiding the face.

Hope you like it.

Remove Your Nanos 💇‍♀️

So we did our previous post a couple of days ago about how to remove your weave 🙌

Now we have posted how to remove your nano hairextentions this method can also be used with micro beads too! These are the beads that are slighty bigger than nano beads.

Like we said in our previous post we care about your hair and hairextentions and this is all we can offer as help until the government allow us to reopen 🙏

This is another one of our AE Academy training videos. This is a guide to help you remove the hair extensions if they are becoming matted or grown out to much , as if you leave them in it can caus damage to your hair which we don’t want.

Again this is better to get someone to do this on you.

Remember I am available for video calls during lockdown if anyone needs any help

So equipment you need are hairextention plires. You can get these on eBay for around £5.

Sectioning clips again you can get these of eBay for £1-4 depending on how many in a pack

So here are the steps to follow with the video

◽Start at either the top or bottom where ever you feel more comfortable. (Some say it’s easier to start from the bottom row and work your way up.)

◽Take your pliers and one nano or micro bead hairextentions and place the pliers on the bead.

◽ Gently squeeze the bead untill you feel some slight movement

◽See if the hair extension will now be out of not gently squeeze the bead again.

◽One hair extension comes out then slide the bead out of the hair aswell.

◽Repeat the above steps on each one on that row

◽Once each one along the row has been removed take your tangle teaser and starting from the ends of your hair brush out any Knott’s or matting. Work your way up to the roots

◽If started from the top take a clip and pin this hair out of the way to work on your next row. If starting from the bottom take your next row down.

❗ Important❗do not be heavy handed with the pliers and squeeze the bead back shut this can caus the bead to break and crumble in the hair which can caus the hair to snap. You just need to feel for a slight release/movement of the bead.

◽once you have removed all your hair extensions try to hold them all ligned up from the metal tip (rubber tip of beautyworks) tie a bobble round the top and brush them all through from ends to roots.

◽if you can plait them and tie at the bottom too this will help to protect them untill we can refit them for you 🙌

I really hope this will help alot of you take care of your hair and hairextentions while we are in lockdown. If you need any help or assistance please pop me a message on Facebook or Instagram and I will help in any way I can

See you soon and please take care ❤️

Remove your weave 💇‍♀️

Hi everyone we really are missing you all in the salon, and we really hope this is all over soon and we can reopen 🙏

In the meantime I wanted to share with you how to remove a sew-in weave or what a lot of you know it as an La Weave.

We care about your hair and your hairextentions so we are trying what we can to help you until the government allow us to reopen.

So we have attached one of our AE Academy training videos. This is to help you remove your weave especially if it’s becoming matted or grown out way to much 😔

Now please please please get someone to do this with you🙏 Don’t try it on your own as you will probably end up cutting your own hair and we really don’t want that 😭

I am happy to video call anyone who needs help over the next few weeks 🙌

All you need is ……

▪️A pair of small pliers

▪️A small pair of scissors or a thread/sewing stitch unpicker, both of which are shown in our youtube video attached.

If you don’t have a thread unpicker you can order them of eBay for around £1.99 for a pack of them.

You can also get hair extension pliers off eBay for around £5

And again please use small scissors do not use big ones as you will risk cutting your own hair.

So now follow the below steps

▫️Once you have chosen what tool you want to use you need to start at one end of the weave.

▫️Look for where the thread starts and place the chosen tool underneath the thread making sure no hair is with it. As you will see in the video ive moved each tool around to show just the string and no hair.

▫️Once you have only string either cut with scissors or pull if using an unpicking tool

▫️Repeat this step all the way along that row

▫️The hair extension weave should just slide away leaving you with just beads attached to the hair like in the video above

▫️Take your set of pliers and gently squeeze the bead till it opens enough to slide out of the hair

▫️Repeat this with all beads on that row

▫️Once all beads have been removed on that row take a comb or tangle teaser and starting at the bottom of your hair (ends) start to remove any knots, matting ect. Slowly move up the length of your hair till all removed.

▫️Repeat all the above steps for each row.

▫️Once all hair has been removed brush each row of hair extensions from ends to roots put all rows together and plait them if you can and tie with a bobble.

This will help to keep them protected until we can refit them for you 🙌

I really hope this will help a lot of you and if you need me pop me a message on Facebook or Instagram and I will be more than happy to help in any way I can 😊

See you all soon, stay safe, stay home

Danielle Louise
